With a hint of Bohemian about it, the current off-the-shoulder trend is one of the hottest looks this season and there's no reason why everyone shouldn't join. The off-the-shoulder design can be found in tops, trenches, or in dresses. Making it endlessly versatile and extremely popular. The off-the-shoudler look, looks great when worn with denim jeans and a fancy pump. I emphasized my femininity in this super cute turtle neck top with my casual off-the-shoulder structure for heightened style.
Junkyard
There are a few wardobe essentials that we lean on more than the classic white button down shirt. In crisp cotton or soft silk, its tailored shape brings elegance to colored denim shorts or just a simple distressed jeans. Tuck it in or let it hang loose; tie it in knots or roll up your sleeves to give it that fashionable cuff. You can't go wrong with this year-round essential. Slip into a pair of pointed-toe heels or open toe sandal to stay chic and comfortable all day long. Your white button-down can also be added with a little something extra, like a statement piece around the neck. When in doubt the white button up top is always something you can depend on.
Reebok Meets OVO
When you're invited to The Perfect Split Reebok Classic Block Party what do you wear? Reebok duh! But what Reebok piece do you exactly wear is the real question! It's pretty clear that the phenomenon of street style is here to stay. Keeping up to date with the latest in streetwear can be quite a daunting task. After attending OVO popup shop, I thought why not pair one of their hats with a red and navy reebok thrift zip up jacket. Longer shorts have taken urging women to step out of their comfort zone and I figured a pair of tailored bermuda shorts make the perfect summertime outfit. Add high heels and accessorize with a statement ring or bracelet and your good to go!
Leather Up
The redundancy of some trends may be annoying at some point, but then there are those trends we can never get enough of. In this case leather pants are known to only be worn in the winter. In fact, this trouser style was a bikers-only and rock-chick staple. Today, not only we've made it sporty appropriate but also for any season, any age, and with any style. It's all about finding a great pair of leather pants with a cut and style to fit your body. Now the hard part for many is matching them to certain tops and shoes to get that effortless polished look. A leather ankle bootie was absolutely necessary. I really think any shoe style works except for anything platform. Top wise, I decided to stay anyway from office shirts and blouses and add a all white high neck peacoat. It definitely gave it edgy yet simple look.
Not Your Typical Chic
According to Vogue, fur, is the latest fad in town right now. It's that brown, nude, beige, hip-length or even over-the knee fur coat your mom maybe used back in the day or grandma had for those elegant refined evenings back when she was younger. It still is super versatile that you don't only wear it to occasions with posh outfits but always considered a sophisticated style when dressed down. While my black high waisted pants made this a great outfit, I also added a hot stiletto pump. To make things a bit more interesting I decided not to wear your typical button down or turtle neck top and thought why not add a sexy lace but yet detailed bralette. I feel like the best way to add my finishing touches was my leather fitted cap. It looks fab with my white and black ensemble.
The Glow
Slightly superhero inspired, the latest way to wear a jacket is to... not really wear it at all! Draped over your shoulders in a jacket-cum-cape way is everything. From light coats to bomber jackets or an ingenious way to slide your hands in your pockets to keep proportions right. But hanging your blazer like a cape and SNAP, You're now fit for fashion! This sartorial trend is perfect with any pair of bottoms. Skirt, jeans, shorts, etc. I decided to pair mines with a poppy sequin trouser and a low cut halter-top or body suit to spice things up. Just to keep in mind, the larger the shoulder span the easier a job you'll have with keeping the jacket in place.
